The Sanderston Walking Trail links Saunders Gorge with the Lavender Federation Trail at Springton. South Australian Recreation Trails Inc. and the Mid-Murray Council will hold a grand opening ceremony at the Saunders Gorge Sanctuary.

12:15 Assemble on Three Chain Road adjacent to Saunders Gorge Sanctuary.
12:30 Opening Ceremony by Mid Murray Council Mayor – David Burgess.
13:00 Finger Food Lunch in Saunders Gorge Restaurant.
14:00 Guided walks on the Sanderston Trail and Saunders Gorge.

Free catering is to be provided. All are welcome, bring your friends and family.

The walks and opening event will be held at the eastern trail head sign located on Three Chain Road near Sanderston. Approximately 18km from Mt Pleasant on the Walkers Flat Road, turn left into Three Chain Road and follow the signs to Saunders Gorge Sanctuary where after a further 100 meters veer left and then continue 800 meters to the trail sign.
